There was no extreme heat, It was mild most of the day with overcast sky all but about 3 hrs. The high for the day was only 85~ with a good breeze. The sand was moist and very level (except around the poles - sink holes from the storm surge). IT was a fun tourney and I personally had a great time playing. We declared everyone a 3rd place victory and gave FREE T's to all the 31 teams there. Here are the results:
Men's 2's (9) - 1st: Jason Carnahan/David Nix (had some very close games in pool but not in the playoffs.) Came out 1st in the winners bracket. Alt 1st: Richie David/Dan Pyle Alt 2nd: Wayne Thompson/Mike Prandy, Ryan Ripple/Kyle Fagan

TOURNEY RESULTS - 96.5 "Take No Prisoners" Beach Volleyball Tournament"
SaturdaySunday August 2/3 - NPI Corpus Christi Texas
Here are the results for the 96.5 - The Beach "Take No Prisoners" Beach Volleyball Tournament. There was $6700 in cash prizes, plus $thousands in noncash prizes. About 110 teams registered to play in the 2-day event. The radio station was happy, there were plenty of sponsors, TV, Radio, and just ton's of media coverage...plus the play was great. Saturday was not TOO hot, Sunday was Hot. The play was good and hopefully everyone had fun. Thanks to all who came out, thanks to 96.5 the beach, Amigo Broadcasting, and all of the sponsors, Melissa/Aaron Maldanado the tournament organizers and especially you, the players. Cya, next year in Corpus.
